I finished up Season 2 of The Chestnut Man.
Season 1 wrapped up the Chestnut man storyline, so while the show retains the title, season 2 was technically called Hide and Seek.
If you liked the first season, you’d probably like this one. It’s largely the same format. A new serial killer. The crime seems like it might be related to a killing that happened a few years ago. The B plot deals with the family of the possibly connected killing. The A plot is the two Danish detectives on the case. So it’s a typical serial killer thriller.
There is a time jump after the first season, so you don’t really even need to remember where things left off. The show does make a pretty bold choice midway through. I don’t know if there is a season 3 planned. But, once again, the season is self-contained so there are no major cliffhangers.
