Started watching Highlander: The Series on Amazon last month as I’d missed it entirely when it was on TV back in the 90s despite the fact that I was a huge Highlander (movie) fan. Initially it seemed really hokey and a few of the characters seemed to be overacting (Richie) but after a while it seemed to really settle into the story and now that I’m into the second season, wow, the style really changed.
I’m really impressed with the fight scenes, they don’t cheap out on them, they really take the swordfighting seriously along with the martial arts, long battles rather than cheap short battles or throw-the-guy-through-the-window shortcuts.
Also that Queen song is a real banger.
