I have always wanted to be first at something, lol. I have had an account with Comcast for years, and been pretty good out here in the Pacific Northwest area. We have not had any issues other then paying a ton of money. We have the Gig service and Cable TV. We would like to get rid of the cable TV, but it would not save us much from our current bill, unfortunately. Anyways, I just wanted to say HI 👋

I too am able to max out the 2.5gb and get about 360 up. Are you able to get those speeds all day/night long? The last few weeks, I lose some download speed during the evening load. Just curious if you’re able to sustain those speeds all the time. I’m using a Netgear CM3000.

porkapatamus yeah, basically every time I test I get full speed. I don’t notice any slowdown. I’m using a coda56.

Hi. I had Comcast 20 years ago. Due to the vicissitudes of life, had to give it up. Used different mobile broadband options for a few years, the most recent of which was Verizon Home 5G (god, was that great!). When I moved, it wasn't available for the new address, so I'm back with Comcast.

What a change 20 years make! My old Comcast modem connected to my computer via an Ethernet cable. The new modem (an XB7) uses WiFi, and for the most part, it works fine.

At any rate, I hope Comcast will keep working as well as it does.

Its real disappointing that DSLR just shutdown without notice or warning. Kind of a shitty way to treat all their longtime members. I hope this site will find a way to post links to articles the way DSLR did.

I was a newbie to DSLR compared to a lot of you guys. But I do agree, that's pretty shitty if they did take down there server, without notifying there long time members? It also could be a legitimate DDoS attack?

bigcoda Sadly DSLReports was in a downward spiral since 2019. I first noticed it when the line monitors stopped working, but you could say it really started when Karl Bode stopped writing for the site in mid 2018.

Hello, all. I was an on and off user of DSLR. Really hated to see the site go and still check daily to see if it might make a comeback. ITMT, this seems like a really nice alternative. I'm here under the name I used on DSLR. Let's ramp up the Comcast conversation!

I first used Comcast 20 years ago. It was so different back in the day. I had an RCA modem that my machine was connected to via ethernet. That thing was as fast as lightning (or so it seemed to me at the time, having just come from dialup). I remember that it had a bunch of flickering LEDs up and down its front. I kinda miss that on the newer equipment.

Now I'm back on Comcast, using an XB7 modem with one steady white LED. It seems pretty fast (with the occasional minutes long outage here and there).

I was really bummed to see that Comcast is no longer offering email for new users. I loved having all those different @comcast.net addresses back in the day, but I guess it wasn't meant to be a second time around.

Hi Omega! Do you have midsplit speeds yet? Word on the street is FDX amps may be in mass production, but we’ll see who gets that first. FDX nodes have been in production and there’s a few markets working on Docsis 4.0.
