telcodad Yeah, I'm really going to miss that site. I didn't delete the bookmarks for it on my computers or my home screen shortcut to it on my phone. I still try it each day but I think its gone for good. I can't bring myself to delete the bookmark just yet. Maybe by Feb 1st if its still down I'll finally clear it out.
We can try to build this place back better. It's just a wealth of information now gone. I think the old site admins did us dirty. They should have announced an end date and gave everyone two weeks to finish any conversations, gather important information and get users over to another site. This site seems to be off to a good start. Its kind of like a natural disaster happens. A fire or something... but then out of the rubble you all find each other alive and well. We can rebuild the software to chat, we can't replace people.
I'm sure in time we'll see more evolution here. Maybe some day it will become just as popular as dslr or better. Maybe it will get some ad supported revenue and stay alive. I know its just forums for now, but maybe a content management system will wrap around it and we'll get news and other things to go with it. Who knows, just glad to be here and take it one day at a time.
