Thought I'd start a new thread for suggesting functionality and not clog up the "Suggestions for additional forums" thread. How about embedding YT and other videos, twitter feeds, etc. Currently I can post links but embedding is much better.

broknsymetry When you go to your "following" page you can choose to view either followed discusions or followed tags (I'm not sure of the difference yet)...

Followed discussions are those selected threads within a Tag (forum) that you want to keep an eye on.

broknsymetry I still don't understand what the "Tags" button does, it just sends me to the "all" page...

Tags and All are the same thing. Tags are forums.

This box is a bit confusing to me though.
First you click the Follow button and it pops up.
Then you have all these choices.
Some of them make it appear you are not following, but you are in the following box???

I tested this on the Apple tag. I chose Ignoring because I wanted to follow Apple but not be notified, just follow it. When I go in the Apple forum under start a discussion it shows "ignoring" so it looks like I'm following

However, from the following page, when I change the drop down from Followed Discussions to Followed Tags, I see nothing. Choosing new or latest makes no difference, they are both blank. Apple does have a couple threads in there so not sure why those say It Looks As Though There Are No Discussions Here

Edit: When I change the Ignoring to Following, I can now see them in the following tags section.
This whole process seems clunky

I noticed in the "Software" area that there are "Apple" and "Microsoft" areas, but I did not locate a "Linux" area for discussions and questions. As I type this, I don't recollect an "Android OS" area either. May I suggest a Linux area? Or combined Linux/*nix area as on old site?

Separate unrelated observation (not serious)...
I see "BBB" used in some comments as shorthand. I am guessing some Internet users could be mistakenly led to this site by search engines when looking for the Better Business Bureau. Could lead to some "Emily Litella" memberships. 😆 ("I have a problem with fiber latency. Should I eat more prunes? Never mind.")

I see that the forums (tags) have been reorganized. It took some digging, but I found it organized under a new "More" forum which is where all non-tech discussion groups are.

Please change the tag title to "Special Interest", as tags like "More", "Other", or "Miscellaneous" don't describe the content and are not helpful when trying to find stuff.

Also - What happened to T-Mobile? That's my cell service provider.

SLC_96 There is now a forum following feature. Forums here are also called tags. When browsing a tag, click on the follow button, then follow the tag. When following a tag you can view all the discussions in followed tags in one view.

To view the discussions you are following click on "following", then toggle between the Discussions you are following and the Tags (forums) you are following.

Can someone take some screenshots and write a tutorial for this?

Donoreo Click on BBF to go Home and Tags is on the top right, when you click on the Tag you'll either get the forum or forum grouping. There should be an option to follow there. Someone made a tutorial last night. Once I find it, I'll post it.

Is there a way to have a breadcrumb trail? With groupings, like the Canadian forums, being able to go back up, it makes navigation easier. I do not see an extension for it in a quick look.

You "browse" a tag (forum) by going into it's tile.

Main page, then click on one of the square tiles (tags)

Donoreo Closest I've found for that is mousing over to the left and the pop out shows, then click from there. Not exactly what you want though. Back button sometimes works too, but it depends

This is a UI issue, as I'm using a desktop display. The tags appear in a left sidebar but do not expand. Since the tags aren't grouped alphabetically, I missed "Cell/Mobile Networks".

With the ever-growing list of tags (they're categories as used here), please change the tag list to an alphabetical display order.

For example, I would know to look for T-Mobile as a "Cell/Mobile Network" category. The first place would be to look under "C". Having it randomly scattered in the list will cause users to miss items. The result is a less than optimal user experience.

One other point, if you look at the Main Page, you will see everything in the tag.

I think that's common with some sites and apps. One example off the top of my head is FB.
If you haven't looked at the site on a desktop browser yet, it's the same but you have to mouse over to the left and it pops out.

[deleted] Right. I am definitely not complaining with my observation. Just was "enlightened" through a 90 degree rotation what I was missing. Of course, there is also no mouse on a tablet, and while I don't have the tablet with me as I type this to recheck, I am unsure if there was an easy way to make the left border stuff appear when in portrait mode. Probably was a way.

sempergoofy Oh, wasn't taking it as complaining! As far as making it work in portrait mode, I don't think it will since the screen space is much less "width" wise. If it did, I imagine it would reformat things much smaller and hard to read

SLC_96 Thanks, but still not exactly what I was hoping for. I have followed three tags and when I go to the following view, I would hope to see the three forums/tags listed. I would then like to click on a forum/tag and view the individual threads.

Unless I am doing something wrong, that's now what I'm seeing. When I go to the follow view I see a huge list of all the threads from those three forums/tags listed. It's hard to follow/manage.

Also, is there a way to make the images uploaded clickable so they can be viewed full size. As it stands now, they are very hard to read. Thanks.
