This will likely get moderated to oblivion, but it needs to be said:
I can’t believe that people are still defending this! Already, the stock market is crashing like it hasn’t in years; people’s retirement savings are suffering; small businesses in multiple countries are worried for their livelihoods; people are losing their jobs; inflation is going up, not down; prices are rising even more, in defiance of “day-one” promises; a recession is predicted with greater-than-50% probability; your institutions, researchers and judiciary system are under threat; political views and minority rights are being stifled. And this is just the beginning.
It is time to admit that you’ve been had! This is not what you thought you were getting and not what you ordered. It is time to stop playing partisan politics; to stop making excuses; to stop simply being silent. It is time to defend the democracy and freedoms you claim to hold so dear, because if you don’t, you may well end up with neither.
