WordPad removed and added to office 365

which means now it’s a pay for program. Has anyone a free add back for us old timers who just like a simple editor? It’s better than notepad and I don’t want to simplify that much. Thanks On a related note, it seems that the new H2 update removed WordPad from my brother’s system. Mine is still working so I guess I haven’t received that update yet. Is there a way to stop my next update through settings? The symbol is on for my next update due to begin imminently. I’ve done this before when my Employer’s Windows 7 computer became crippled when Microsoft pushed the Windows 10 upgrade out. I removed the upgrade and never updated again and it ran fine until I left the company. I am mainly an IPad user and basically don’t do any email on my PC except the occasional sends.
