I seem to have dodged major tree damage with only a few limbs here and there, others in my area are not so lucky but nothing major that I am aware of except for power outages and the Hodag Dome collapsing in Rhinelander, Wi. Now we have this coming on Tuesday night. Tomorrow Night 04/01 87% / 3 in Watching a potential winter storm. Periods of snow. Low 28F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Blah yuck again.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

Tornado Warning for…
Central Pontotoc County in east central Oklahoma…
Until 1030 PM CDT.
At 946 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Fitzhugh, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Locations impacted include…
Ada, Byng, Roff, and Fitzhugh.
Instructions
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a storm shelter, safe room or an interior
room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you
are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest
substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

Learn About Radar Summary

The NOWRAD Radar Summary maps are meant to help you track storms more quickly and accurately. These maps consist of echo top heights, cell movement indicators, tornado and severe thunderstorm watch boxes, and the NEXRAD Storm Table information overlaid onto the mosaic radar imagery. The radar summary graphics display cell movement and direction by arrows, with speed in knots, and the echo top heights in hundreds of feet. An ‘NA’ on the chart indicates that the radar report from that station was ‘Not Available’, and ‘NE’ shows that the radar was seeing ‘No Echos’. Severe weather watch boxes are also plotted - red boxes indicate a Tornado Watch has been issued for the area, and a blue box indicates a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the area.
