cypherstream Don’t worry I am not going to give up here and will post when time permits. I still work and that starts at 5:00AM to 3:00PM-5:00PM Monday thru Friday.
Here is yesterdays Events, starting at 11:01AM I lost profile 4,5,6 and dropped to 2,3,4. Since 4 was already failed I was losing and requiring profile 3. Then at 11:12AM the ingress stopped and profile 4,5,6 was required.
Then right before 5:00PM and lasting until 7:00PM I was losing and reaquiring profile 5,6. This started up again at 9:16PM and went to 11:43PM with the same gain and loss of profile 5,6.
Then at 12:40AM today I lost profile 5,6 and then got it back at 12:44AM. Then there is a few upstream profile changes starting at 1:01AM going to 1:41AM. Up to this moment there is nothing else in the logs.
So what ever this noise is there is no repeatable pattern, and it seems the strenght of it varies. It was pretty cool here yesterday with temps struggling to get to 60 degrees. It is going to get to 80 this week so I will have to wait and see if the modem gets knocked offline. Also, I don’t know what the highest downstream Profile there is. Profille 4,5,6 is the highest I have seen so far. I am assuming the lowest is 0,1,2.
The way this is happening it will be hard for SECV to find the source of noise so if this gets out of hand, modem stopping multiple times a day I will drop to the 6190 so I can avoid the constant up and down the steps. Hoping fiber gets here soon as that will most likely cure this problem.
