Notice the pattern: roughly every 4.7–5 days a new DHCP lease is issued, and the firewall attempts renewal about 2–3 days into each lease.
Bottom line
For IP 70.44.x.x:
Current lease length: 6.04 days
Renewal attempt (T1): every 3.02 days
Rebind attempt (T2): after 5.29 days
Current lease expires: August 1, 2026 14:47:22
Next expected DHCP renewal attempt: July 29, 2026 14:15:35
If you’re troubleshooting an outage or IP change with PTD, I’d note that the address has remained 70.44.x.x across all of these renewals, which suggests they’re renewing the same reservation rather than assigning a new public IP each cycle.
This PTD.net business account got a lease on the 24th. That was well within the residential DHCP server outage window! The PTD business account is supposed to always return the same IP. It’s static but assigned by dhcp.
