luckydriver I didn’t notice any outage. The Unifi app shows solid green all night, and my smokeping graphs look good. It must have been some update to the CMTS or something related to the cable side of things. How long were you out? It came back at 6:43 AM for you but what was the duration? I’m seeing what looks to maybe be an outage near 2:17 to 2:37 AM at one of our ptd buisness accounts through its CM8200A modem. But I see another log before its vpn tunnel log about latency alarms starting at 1:25 AM as well as loss = 100%. And yes the CM8200A shows 16.2db for upstream channel 5 (44.3 through 44.8 for the other 4).

The modem logs looks like it got its time set at 01:17:00, not sure if the time is correct. Prior to that was a spam of sync timing errors, failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing with a date in of 12/31/1969. The last valid timestamp was shown as 6/1/2026 23:29:43.00, sync timing synchronization failure. That sure looks to me like a CMTS software update and reboot.
Strange because we usually get emails from notifications@smart.penteledata.net about maintenance events due to being a business account. The last one I got was about business voice maintenance on 6/13, and it just affects creating hunt groups and other maintenance tasks in the online portal.
For your area, I don’t think any fiber is run yet. They did 562 through St Lawrence, and then backing up through Reifton. Williams Tech was doing some splicing near Boscov’s recently. Once they get all that backfilled, they will likely keep going east bound on the south side of 422 from the Giant shopping area back down all the way to the intersection where you turn to go to downtown Birdsboro.
