I created this community to be the spiritual successor to DSLReports. DSLReports, after decades of service appears to have been shutdown. The mission of this space is to provide an early web experience without algorithmically driven content by sorting discussions based on date of last post. Since this forum is running more modern software than the forums of yore, it may feel like on the surface it may deteriorate into the social experience we know from other sites, but that wont happen here. With the community's support I plan to retain the old-school forum experience with your help. Please create discussions, reply and engage with others. We cant let this community die. Is there a forum missing that you want to participate in? Create a discussion in t/broadband-bulletin. Spread the word. We want as many community members to find us as possible. If you a new here, welcome! This forum isn't just for old timers. As this site takes hold moderators will be appointed and community guidelines will be established. I have been a DSLReports member since 2005 and daily visitor since before that. It is good to see you again.

Thanks for doing this. I originally joined DSL reports back in the 1990’s and it was extremely helpful in teaching me about a new to me world!

Yes, David and Don were good guys. Don and I were in contact quite often. He was active mostly in the digital imaging.

We used to meet up with Lisa and Sam once a year for lunch and adult beverage. I still think of her and Sam, and wonder how Sam is doing today.

My first link to DSLR was about 1999-2000 time as old as myself!
Thanks for creating this spiritual images of the defunct DSLR !
Hope I'll be able to get more info on any broadband issue like in the past as well as being able to share what i can to help as a PC expert for over 30 years...My motto is still being as "One for All. All for One" that tells everybody needs share and sometime needs helps as anyone can give a hand to ones, agree? 🙂

This is just something I was personally curious about in regard to what dslreports.com alternate domain names are available that are as close to the original dslreports.com address. Most if not all of the good dslreports.com domain names are taken, but the ones that are available and for sale are for the broadbandreports domain. This is one domain name some of you may remember that justin was using to help generate more Google traffic to www.dslreports.com. He also changed the dslreports logo to broadbandreports.

In fact, www.broadbandreports.com is still linked to www.dslreports.com.

Again, this is just something I wanted to look up for myself and I'm not saying that our website name should be changed. I just found there are some interesting domain name alternatives.

egeezer I used to email with them both pretty much daily. I knew Don from the Dimaging forum and David is the one who got me to join DSLR. We originally met and became buddies on the Comcast Community Forum. We also used to chat on Messenger too, back when that was a thing.
