Back in the glory days, Cartoon Network (which was on basic cable, not premium like Max) had TONS of those old cartoons, as well as festivals (such as June Bugs) and anthology series (Toon Heads). MeTV has Looney Toons at 9AM on Saturdays and during Toon In With Me Monday through Friday at 7am.

There’s also the new MeTV Toons channel. Looney Toons is there too in Cartoon All Stars and Bugs Bunny & Friends. Toon In With Me is on that channel at 11PM Monday through Friday.

Years ago, ABC-TV had a miniseries called Amerika.

The Soviet Union helped by their allies had taken over the USA and were going to break it into several regions (separate countries).

(Very similar to the subsequent breakup of the Bell System into the 7 regional companies, ironically).

One woman was very upset by this but her husband said, who cares about any of this, maybe we were united during WW2 but that was 50 years ago.

For these young TV guys, it’s the same, they neither know nor care about the old glory days.
