xpxp2002 SECV is doing up to 8 gbps too. I did find the cabinet in my neighborhood. Its a clearfield 244 ct and according to the documentation they are 1:32.
But someone said its 1:64 which could be if they did a 1:2 split before and took that output each into clearfield 1:32 cartridges.
Its possible they can reconfigure that, could just be that way with what spare fibers were available at the splice case by the existing HFC nodes. Say you have a 24ct fiber into a neighborhood, you have some used for that neighborhood’s HFC nodes, so whatever spares are left is what they have to work with to splice and split out into another case for the PON network.
Press release though stated clearly that Nokia 25GPON system was chosen for our company, but I have a Nokia XGS-PON ONT. Its possible they can run XGS-PON and 25GPON on the same fiber, different wavelengths and can grow up as businesses or other demands are needed. I’d bet the Nokia chassis in the headend fully supports both XGS-PON and 25GPON OLT modules.
