Somewhat-Reticent Wouldn’t that take a rather large asteroid ( or space station, or … ) !?
Yeah, something with a radius of about 1750 km or more.
The dwarf planet Ceres, the biggest asteroid in the inner solar system has a mean diameter of 939.4±0.2 km – not even close. The minor planet Pluto has a mean radius of 1,188.3±0.8 km, so even that is slightly smaller than the Moon.
On the other hand, the moon Titan with the mean radius of 2574.73±0.09 km would be more than enough to fully shade the Moon, For comparison, the Death Star is rumored to be only 200 km wide.
