real_aurgathor HooRU You mean this? https://www.tequipment.net/Cal-Test/CT3668/Oscilloscope-Probe-Accessories/
Sparkchaser Reference lead is the thing that clips on to the probe top. (Ground) Hook tip sticks on to the end of the probe with the pointy thing and allows it to clip on to a wire, component, etc.
real_aurgathor HooRU HooRU Hook tip! Ah, ok, I need one. Are they universal? You mean this? https://probemaster.com/3955-sprung-hook/ When you buy a set of probes they should come with one – some may work with other probes, but there’s no guarantee.
egeezer real_aurgathor That’s what I think a hook tip is. They’re quite handy when doing circuit work. My Fluke meter came with one that has a longer shaft. That makes it easier to maneuver among a rat’s nest of wires to clip onto the desired connection. Don’t forget your static mat with ground if dealing with circuit boards. 🙂
