As crazy as the comeback was, it shouldn’t overshadow just how miserable a game that Carolina had.
Anderson was not good. And might be concussed. But more importantly, the team was awful. It was just giveaway after giveaway. For two and a half periods it looked like Carolina was trying to pass it to the Golden Knights at the defensive blueline instead of clearing the puck.
I don’t know if Vegas has managed to adapt in this series, and Carolina hasn’t. But the last two games, despite the comebacks, Carolina has been badly outplayed for large stretches. On the other hand, they’ve managed to not show up for the first two periods in back-to-back games and took it to overtime.
