M1 Carolina vs. P1 Vegas
Vegas in 7 - It’s hard to get a read on Carolina. They steamrolled the East, but they also had probably the easiest path through the East. They’ll be well rested. But their 1st line has basically done nothing. And Staal’s line isn’t great either. They’ve been leaning heavily on Hall’s line. Anderson has barely been tested, and he’s always a question mark in the playoffs. Carolina relies so much on shot suppression. While Vegas seems a lot more solid throughout. A Torts team, so they block a ton of shots. And Hart has been tested a lot, and has looked quite good.
So I’m going to play it safe and guess 7 games. I’ll lean towards Vegas by relying on the pattern of Marner being the player that leaves the Leafs and wins the Cup.
