Single serve coffee maker advice

My old Dolce Gusto format maker is dead. Long live the coffee maker. I was using a reusable filter in it (I had to, except ebay or expensive Amazon options, DG format cups were no longer sold here). Right now I am drinking French Press coffee. It was a bit wide, I would like a narrower for counter space (it was about 30cm at the rear). I want the option for using reusable filters. I never plan to buy pre-packaged coffee in any cup format because of the waste. A lot of the Consumer Reports recommended ones are all over $125 US! EDIT: one for $48 US is $180 here? WTF? EDIT EDIT: I like the convenience of the pod machine. I have been perfectly happy with the quality I got from it. The French press is too fiddly, and waiting for water to heat longer and then for coffee to steep.

There are entire product lines of mixes of traces of various powders ( all extolled ) like this.
Not enough to have a detectable effect, but sounding nice.

I thought about getting a pod machine with reusable cups and refilling them, but I ended up getting an inexpensive espresso machine and coffee grinder instead. I’ve had it about 5 years now. I figured refilling the portafilter would be as easy (or easier) than refilling the reusable cups.

Some sort of single-cup drip machine would be intriguing, but I couldn’t find any that looked good to me at the time.

The discontinued Black+Decker DCM18 made great coffee when used with a Melitta filter.
The current Black+Decker CM618B is almost as good when used with a basket filter and a 20oz stainless tumbler. Its reservoir is 16.9 fl oz/500ml.

Donoreo Not expensive, decent options. I have ordered for same-day pickup later today (whenever that is).

Well, Walmart failed me. Until midnight it showed pick for yesterday but that it was in the “preparing” stage. Now it shows delayed and “check back later”.

Donoreo I also ordered the Keurig Universal reusable K Cup.

We like our keurig. We get a strong brew from Starbucks French Roast , and Peet’s coffees.

When Walmart finally got around to picking my order, the reusable cup was out of stock. So I picked up the machine, Best Buy had the cup for the same price and was across the road, and back home. It is definitely hotter than the Dolce Gusto (was actually made by T-Fal) machine was, but only does 6, 8 or 10 oz the old did up to 12
