Donoreo Looks like a sad Marvin the Robot.
Nescafe (aka Nes’Kafka) lower end machines are narrow but high, crappy tire has put them on sale in the past but for all they do they seem overpriced for what you get. The company has a lot of shelf space just for their machines so that is how they are paying for it and still making too much of a buck.
Some like the smaller Japanese made pour overs for a single cup, it does mean paper filters (which do change the flavour by absorbing some oils and other aromatics - I think the general claim is the coffee is smoother), but with a green bit its just a matter of pulling out the soggy one and dropping it in. Turns out coffee grins down the drain will stick to the FOB that always is present in kitchen drains and build up over time. Unless you have an induction hob or cooktop the pushbutton countertop machine will probably provide that nectar of psychoactive goodness faster than via a kettle and other apparatus.
For the tea drinking set, asian markets in Canada often sell little “countertop boilers” They have some insulation and will keep a moderate to sizable volume of water hot (often with various pre selected temperatures) which is idea for those that want tea NOW and can only afford to wait on the steeping process. Hot water is dispensed via a pump of some sort out the top. I had never seen such a thing till I was wandering around in Markham.
