B_W Basically to get a bulk contract, it happens during constriction, and the “supplier” has to wire the building AND be responsible for all the interior maint. Our building was done this way about 6 years ago. Cat 6 cable was run into each apt/condo/unit (over 50 apt’s) coat closet, alone with a 120v outlet. Coax cable was wired in all the apt’s living room, bedrooms and den, if there was one. Sat TV was provided with receivers in rooms. HSI via fiber into the building was provided, with switching gear and a cat 6 cable into the apt’s closet, for the renters router. After 5 years, we signed a new contract with same provider, and we abandoned all the Sat equipment, and were provided with new streaming TV equipment. Our provider switched ISP’s, boosted everyone’s speed to about 400 up & down. to handle the increase data usage, for all the streaming of TV. Old coax cable was converted by installing a huge OTA TV antenna in attic for approx 40 OTA channels.
And our monthly internet will stay the same through 2029 as it was since 2020, plus the stream TV with the same channels went down $6/month per apt.
