Not that it helps, but my neighbours directly across the street from me have been the victims of an "over the fence" squabble with the folks who are currently renting the house next to them. (diagonal to me). These folks have owned and lived in the house since I think 2017, so they are not new to the area, they are nice folks, very kind and helpful, they have helped my wife shovel out the driveway when I wasn't home, they have retrieved our recycle bins when they blew away, they have watched out for packages for us that got delivered when we were away. I honestly don't think they have a bad bone amongst the lot of them - it's a husband and wife and 3 kids between about 10 and 19. She's a nurse, he's a mechanic. He gets "we don't want it back" cars from his work - cars that are broken down and going to be sent to scrap because the owners decide the repair is too expensive. His boss will sell him the cars at scrap cost ($400). He brings them home (one at a time) and rebuilds them in his garage. That means his 4 cars (his, wifes, and 2 older kids) are always in the driveway so they have a very full driveway and are often shuffling cars so someone can get in/out that is blocked. To do so they usually back out of the driveway and pull up on their curb in front of the house and will often leave a car there until someone is returning, etc. This often means delivery drivers have no where to stop in front of their house but often do either on my side, or in front of their next door neighbour. The one who rents and has a beef with them. I guess a year or so ago (I wasn't home - my wife reported this) - they were getting some new appliances delivered from The Brick. The delivery truck couldn't stop in front of their house because of cars parked in the way. They stopped in front of the neighbours house and blocked their driveway. Apparently said neighbour was trying to leave to go somewhere and started yelling at the family we'll call "the homeowners" that the truck was blocking them, if they didn't have so many "f-ing cars always" it wouldn't be an issue, and generally started cursing and berating them. Eventually the delivery drivers came back out after delivering and moved the truck - maybe 7-8 minutes - which of course I guess made "renter neighbour" late for whatever and exceptionally irate.
Since then they started causing them no sort of end to their issues - cut down part of one of their trees in their back yard, left garbage and yard waste on their front yard, yelled and cursed at the teen daughter when she's coming and going from school, etc... the list goes on.. SO - homeowner neighbour (the good folks who I have no issues with) got professional monitored ADT security cameras ALL over their house with paid for 24 hour monitoring and security response. They have paid a pretty good penny apprently to have this (I think in the $200/mo range) BUT - they stay out of it now and let the security company deal with it - every time the pesky neighbours step foot on or in the vicinity of their place the security team shows up and confronts them. There are clear signs "this property monitored and protected 24x7x365 by ADT" - camera on the front of the garage, at the front door, on the 2 sides of the house, 2 in the back yard. When I talked to the wife a week ago when we were out clearing snow she said they've had zero issues now in the last 3 months - that "bad neighbour" has decided they are more hassle than they are worth I guess.
