lesmikesell Stuff If you do troubleshooting in the app and ‘test your whole network’ it should do a speed test.
MacLeech Stuff Now when I go to the site it tells me to use the app. But the app sends me to the web for a speed test? The Comcast app tags your Comcast account with the speedtest results. Comcast uses the Ookla speedtesting system.
lesmikesell Stuff Whole network is not an option if you have your own modem. If it won’t do it for you there is always ookla.
Tshirt Stuff I will miss the rocketship test because it gave numeric info the app doesn’t bother with, and it could do IPv4 & 6 as comcast chose to display/ compare to so long ago but… each of these tell you something a little different but are fairly accurate/consistent at what they do. in no particular order https://openspeedtest.com/ https://fiber.google.com/speedtest/ https://speed.cloudflare.com/ https://radar.cloudflare.com/speedtest https://fast.com/#
ViRGE Huh. I am surprised to see that they removed it. It doesn’t seem like the kind of service that would have required much upkeep on their end.
Devious So now they are depending on a wireless test to accurately show your speed. 🤪 That is why I like testing through my router as the cable modem is plugged into the router and the test is in the router.
kmax Not sure if it was a combination of extensions in my browser, but it always gave me less than ½ the speed ookla gave.
