If you have to resort to fire-unfire-fire tactics, then you are admitting that you have no idea what you're doing, and you should stop before you humiliate yourself, or cause an undeniable disaster for the country you claim to be "saving".

And yes, it took quite a bit of effort to self-sensor and not make that response any more political.

The agency made the about face Friday morning; during a meeting, acting NNSA administrator Teresa Robbins said the agency had received direction to rescind the termination of probationary employees. Probationary workers have typically been employed for less than a year, or two years in some cases, and have fewer job protections and rights to appeal.

Multiple news stories reported the fired workers from many agencies (such as Veterans Affairs) as being deeply pissed off that they were not just fired, but also were insulted with language such as "you have failed to demonstrate fitness for continued federal employment".

The probationary-status employees are generally younger and more tech-saavy, leaving the remaining staff to be older and older, and this will become more of a problem as time goes by. But the probationary-status employees have fewer protections so were easier targets.

Over at the SBA, employees were fired, then re-hired, then fired again.

I know that some of these people really need their jobs, but I would love to see a good amount of the workers go no, I'm not coming back after you fired me the first time.

Edit: I can think of some not so nice words for them to say as well.

...and it was reported that they couldn't contact the fired NNSA employees to hire them back because DOGE deleted their e-mail accounts...

If they deleted the emails, then most likely the employees access and logins were also deleted from the system.

I could see the mess of firing and then re-hiring and then firing again. I would not want to be an IT admin there right now. They would have so much work. I also wouldn't be surprised if they are re-hired again after being fired for the 2nd time.

Pretty soon you'll be hit personally in some way, maybe one of your relatives will lose their government job even though they are competent and diligent, or you won't able to afford the price hike on that tariffed new car, or your uncle will lose his health plan, or your sister's clinical trial for cancer therapy will be cut off, or a bank will screw you but the CFPB won't be around to help, or your tax refund will be way delayed, or your kid or grandkid gets polio, or one of a myriad other things.

Then maybe, maybe you won't be so dogmatically smug.

But I won't bet on it. 🙁

I'm assuming that you truly don't know that Sinclair Broadcasting owns or operates 294 television stations in 89 markets, and that their editorial policy is very heavy to one side, and that it is uniformly imposed from the top-down. All this is very-well known.
