I thought we might keep a running discussion of recent changes we are seeing at grocery stores, rather than many separate threads for the same thing.
During my late afternoon trip today, a few things stood out:
- The Quebec greenhouse lettuce was almost all gone, and for once, the price has gone down slightly.
- There was lots of the usual U.S.-grown lettuce in stock, suggesting that others are also not buying.
- Even for a Quebec store, products that are Canadian-made now have a maple leaf on the e-Ink price displays, in red on the coulour-enabled units. I'm surprised that the products from Quebec don't have the famous flour on their labels.
