Ok so it's Valentine's day, time to eat chocolate! lol.. What's everyone up to this weekend??

Guy54435 The booing of the US national anthem in Canada has been going on for a couple of weeks.

We got some snow today 🤢 and then it turned to rain and washed all the snow away 👍️ so I don't have to shovel any snow on Sunday and it's going to be a nice relaxing Sunday of reading and watching TV and movies and eating food that's bad for me and that's how I like it.

We are back into the 80 here. It rained mostly yesterday and then we had some good wind today.

Had about 3 quick power outages. See I jinx myself by saying the power doesn't usually go out here. LOL

Rook This is across the road from my cottage on the Lake Huron shore. My home, about half an hour east, is worse. And we are expecting more snow today and then snow squalls off the lake tonight and tomorrow.

For me it is I don't care to listen to any of the national anthems. That's why we have fast-forward on our DVR's. Granted can't do that in person. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to be disrespectful to any country.

I don't think I even remember the words to the pledge of allegiance. Last time I said it was in 10th grade maybe. I might have been doing special projects at the time so I wasn't even near the TV where the other students were.

I got paid to do side work on fixing computers and other equipment. Even fixed the teachers personal computers. The library was where I spent most of my time. LOL.

Dks01 When I was younger that would be awesome. Snowball fights and ⛄️ and then inside for hot chocolate. Maybe schools would be closed the next day while everybody digs out.

Now I just look at that and instinctively my back hurts.

Guy54435 We sing "O Canada" at certain Nascar events, I don't ever remember any Booing about it.

As I mentioned, nobody knows to boo it let alone want to.

Sugary "milk" chocolate is for kiddies; sugar addiction being legalized.
Dark ( "dutched" ) cocoa's richer deeper flavor is for adults, just like coffee.

Looking at that picture reminds me of photos from my family album when we used to live in the suburbs of Chicago. There were pictures of my brothers (before my time) making trenches and snowforts in that much snow in the backyard.

Bird Buddy is starting to get more traction! Neat thing. It's pretty buggy - weak wireless radio, thinks it's outside the birdhouse sometimes. But when it works, you get a neat view of what your bird neighbors are up to, and the camera is really good. The video it takes is smooth, and the microphone captures the chirps and crunching.

Got an about 5” of snow and ice last night. Went to church this morning. It was an abbreviated mass with the choir out and the priest reading the mass (the deacon was out). Got stuck once on my way to church. Since the church is on my way to work and I got stuck on my way to church and it turned to freezing rain I decided to call out of work. I would rather lose a day’s pay than lose my life.

Hi winds just hit here. I lost power for a minute or so, but my UPS kept the PC on. If I lose power for a longer period of time, I'll fire up my generator.

Lights flickered for a few minutes here (Chester County) and then settled down. Don't have a generator, have electric heat.

That happened about 3 times for me yesterday. Luckily it didn't go out. My ups is near me so I always hear the clicking and the Mac telling me about the power outage. Gotta love it. I was just happy it didn't go out.
