Potential users worried about site missing legalese

So I'm trying to talk well known community members, like RMerlin, to join the site, but he doesn't feel comfortable with the lack of legalese - https://www.snbforums.com/threads/january-15-2025-the-day-dslreports-died.93620/post-942458 .

bbbc Many, many years ago I just copied Microsoft.com's EULA and privacy statements and replace all MS stuff to my website (they were much shorter then.) I couldn't afford a proper lawyer and no one ever reads the damn things anyway, right? I don't even think I read them myself.

In addition, you might want to add contact information for copyright complaints, so the website does not lose its safe harbor provisions.

Website design is not trivial nor easy. Please add a page footer which can contain what's discussed here.

I suggest placing the requisite privacy notice, terms and conditions, and a link to whatever software platform we're using, e.g. "Powered by xxx" in the page footer. (I'm curious about that for myself.)

I would also recommend an "About us" page link. Create the page if it's not done already. (Sorry if I missed it.)
