Update on my FDX experience:
My second tech visit was on Tuesday, Sept 22. The tech was excellent: a much better experience this time around. He was from the commercial side and mentioned that while he doesn’t typically handle residential setups, they have been having issues with FDX.
He confirmed that signal levels to the house are excellent. He went up on a ladder and verified that the signal at the tap is also excellent and that the drop is completely fine. Ultimately, there was nothing more he could do on-site other than confirm that an obvious issue exists (he mentioned it might be an FDX amp that wasn’t configured correctly by the contractors). He escalated the issue to Maintenance (MT) and gave me the email address of a higher up at the local headend in case I need it.
Surprisingly, within 30 minutes of him leaving, a bucket truck appeared outside. The tech was working up at the tap while talking on the phone. He climbed down a short time later, but sat by the side of the road on the phone for another 45 minutes.
Ultimately though, there have been no material changes, and I’m getting nervous that this is going to get brushed aside. I picked up the XB10 the week of September 1st.
3 OFDMA channels are still not locking.
