fmd I still think a good used of spectrum would be to put an OFDM channel in the 1026-1218 MHz range for business class. Typically moca is used to sling data around a residential household. There really isn’t a need for moca in a business as they usually have a wiring closet with Ethernet switches. Business class is professionally installed and some times under a price contract as well. They also use their own class of equipment (the CBR). This could keep some traffic off of and load balanced away from residential customers.
I do believe back in the early 2000’s some ISP’s like Cablevision (now optimum) and Suscom (before Comcast purchased them) ran business class on a separate docsis channel. A DCC command was issued to change said channel (this predates channel bonding in D3.0). There were also class of service parameters in the docsis.cm config file like priority, max burst, etc…
Now let’s get back to giving more expensive business class additional bandwidth for that priority path they deserve for the higher cost and commitment!
