vaxvms Interesting approach, but if the thieves intended to give back their ill-gotten gains, why bother doing it in the first place? If they weren't afraid of prosecution to start with, why would they part with 90% of their profits? I guess it depends how confident they are that they won't be discovered.
Were they to return the 90%, how can they be sure that there would be absolutely no prosecution? Can the victim legally make that guarantee?
