For example, in 2007 when NBC pulled their TV shows off iTunes (for about a year), people who had already purchased TV shows didn’t lose access to their purchases, the shows just weren’t available any more for new purchases.
I actually can’t find any examples of people losing access to their purchased movies / TV shows, even if the company later loses the rights to it. It would be a PR nightmare for them, and Apple is especially sensitive to bad press and upsetting their customers. I just don’t see it happening. There would be mass outrage if millions of people lost access to things they had purchased.
I think people deserve to get paid for their work, especially with A.I. now.
I wish the ISPs were still shutting off internet service to people caught pirating things.
