Just starting this up for future use. Should have been posting over the last week as 3 Canadian teams are participating in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Forge lost both legs to Monterrey so they are out. They looked strong at times but just couldn’t pull it together, despite having 4 or 5 solid chances that should have been goals. They’ve lost a number of players in the off season and are still trying to gel with new signings. Cavalry, on the other hand, upset Pumas in leg 1 and plays tomorrow night, up 2-1 on aggregate. This was the first ever CPL win over a Liga MX side, so history was made. The Whitecaps don’t open their tournament until the 20th, but success in the first round would match them against Monterrey.
