HooRU Embruaer seems to want to get into the mix, but has hesitations so I saw on youtube.
"I saw it on the internet, so it must be true!" 😃
I'm not doubting Embraer's engineering chops to jump into this arena. The question -- as with anything else -- is whether the market will accept it or not? On DSLR, I made the observation that in computing, Intel's Itanium and Transmeta's Code Morphing seemed like "the next big thing," and millions in funds and resources were dedicated to that, yet where are either today?
I also point out this quote from Jean Pierson (former CEO of Airbus) about the airplane building business -- "You can't win, you can't break even, and you can't quit," source : https://www.construction-physics.com/p/a-cycle-of-misery-the-business-of
The source itself is an excellent deep dive into the risks and pitfalls of the airplane building business... definitely worth the read.
