On a more serious note, I actually heard and witnessed the immediate aftermath when a squirrel shorted out a transformer in the alley, just a few yards away where I was doing something.
I've heard something that sounded like a gun shot, saw smoke rising from the transformer and saw something hitting the ground. Once I got there, I saw a very dead looking squirrel in the grass with some visible burn marks. We lost power, but it was restored in about 6 hours or so,
