egeezer I run the fan too, it’s been upgrade, it’s an improvement over the builder box special that was installed when the home was made and a lot better but not perfect. Do have some HEPA like air purifiers but they are more for polishing air not desmoging it.
When it comes to furnace filters I wish (and it all depends on installation) that they put in a larger angled holder that fits into the downdraft plenum and holds about 4 or 5 filters rather than just use a single one. Higher costs upfront but you reduce the airflow speed through the media and as a result it picks up more stuff, requires less frequent changing.
It’s pretty gross out there, its cooler with less humidity but smells like old wood burning. Lots of people are still working in this crap and it is not good for anyone; and yet there are still people outside having their daily (hourly/consecutive) cigarette.
