I started out with Asterisk@Home and then at various times ran Trixbox, Elastix, the FreePBX distro, and finally FreePBX on the RaspberryPi (starting with the original Raspberry Pi right after it first came out, using RasPBX and then switching to using RonR's scripts and tools). I've also helped set it up on a Proxmox virtual machine running Debian, on that one we also used RonR's scripts and tools but only after going through the script and commenting out the bits specific to the Raspberry Pi (and no I did not save that modified script, but that was several years ago anyway). That said, since all this was for friends and family, I never explored any of the features that would appeal to businesses. But up until now it has always worked very well and very reliably, however given that Asterisk is dropping support for macros and FreePBX relies on them heavily, I am not sure if that will be true going forward (though I hope it is).
