You can set your browser with a profile specific to this forum to open tabs with the URLs (forums or threads) that you want. Are you using a Firefox-based web browser or a Chrome-based web browser? The instructions are different.

I’ve checked, but it seems like there might be some limitations in the forum software. I’d love to have my favourite forums/tags displayed by default, along with the number of unread posts in each as a default.

Yes. On this board, forums are called tags. When you follow a tag (forum), it will show up in the "My Tags" section. All of the other tags will show but your favorites will be grouped together.

That may be the only solution, as horrible as it sounds. (I do not like a lot of tabs open )

I’m using iOS Safari browser. I can’t figure out how to follow tags. Can someone create the path to take. TIA.

planet Okay from the main Tag (Forum) Listing https://broadbandbulletin.com/ find the tag you want to follow and click on it.

I chose the Open Tag (Forum) https://broadbandbulletin.com/t/open-forum

On the left-hand side, under "Start a Discussion" you will see "Following" Click on this, select following and then click on Confirm Subscription.

I'm using a Windows desktop PC, so I hope this works for you.

You can create multiple Safari profiles—like Work and Personal—and use them to separate your internet browsing into different themes. Each profile has separate favorites, histories, tabs, and Tab Groups. You can add, edit, or remove a profile at any time.

Following your path isn’t working on iPhone Safari. I can follow discussions but not Tags. 🤷🏼‍♂️

planet Try pressing the star again. The screen you posted means you missed the star and pressed the blue bar.

Doesn’t work. Tried multiple times clicking star. Next to star is the compose post icon.

I realize you are on an iPhone but just for the heck of it, I tried on my Android. I got it to work but what I found was it just takes a "feather light" touch on the star. Initially I was pushing too long and too hard on the star and nothing was happening.

No matter how lightly I tap the star the screenshot I posted above is the result.

planet My only other suggestion is to follow your Tags on another device, either computer or android and then you will have them established for use on your iPhone.

This is what I was going to suggest, do it on a computer and then the settings will be saved to the account.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I did end up using my MacAir and was easily able to add mytags.
