Both feet went out from under me at once, I went down like a sack of flour. The pain was brutal since I bounced down the steps on my back. But it is better. Flexiril and Percocet helps relax muscle spasms, but that stuff makes my mouth dry and makes me too drowsy. I'm getting to the point that I can quit using a cane. Soon, I can do chores, walks, go shopping, work on my bike in preparation for spring. Trails will be too icy to hike. 🙁
Nurses and Family practice CNP in the clinic next door to us offered to examine me at the house, but with their help, I made it to the clinic. It's about a hundred feet door to door, they helped me navigate the snow on the sidewalk. After exam and X-rays, determined nothing was broken. They helped me back to the house, then shoveled the snow on my steps and walk.
We help each other, I usually clear their walk, keep an eye out on the place, mow their side yard, even running an extension cord to their refrigerator when their power went out, but we still had ours. We have great neighbors!
