iahawkeye83 Try working in retail. They play the same ten songs over and over on the overhead speaker system. It’s like they burn several CDs with songs ranging from the 40s swing era to modern pop music (I have heard everything from Motown to Walk the Moon), they put it in a five-disc changer and put it on repeat/random. Customers don’t notice because they are in there several times a week and they are in there an hour at a time if they are lucky. If you work there, it gets annoying to hear the same songs over and over.

At the time, being young & dumb, I LOATHED that album. Many, many years later (like 20 or so) I woke up in the middle of the night with one of the songs from that album on my mind. Got the album the next day & actually really like it now

I definitely venture from ’PRB to ’FMU, especially for Mike Lupica’s constantly wonderful and illuminating shows, still effervescing “From the Starlight Lounge” (his C-19 necessitated in-home studio). Both are treasures of how radio should be, but sadly is almost entirely not.
