New York State began enforcement of this law on January 15th.

Anybody able to sign-up for a $15 or $20 Internet plan?
Can you bundle it with TV or other services?
What are your download and upload speeds?

Apparently you have to be on a 'Mix and Match' type plan to be a part of the Verizon Forward program which gives you applicable service discounts, including the New York State Affordable Broadband Act.

Internet speed has to be at least 300MB (download) to get a discounted broadband price.

This is a no go for people on any legacy plans.

The good old days can't compare to today's tech.
Ha ha ha.

Can't get anything from Verizon for $15 today.

However, $20 will get you the 300MB plan, which is more than the minimum bandwidth (200MB) required by the state's rules. If Verizon wanted to offer a $15 plan then it would have to be at least 25MB.

So far you can't stack the discount plus there are a lot of extra qualifications required.
