NVME install issue with included hardware

I'm trying to add another NVME SSD to me system, but there are no inserts in the smaller than 2280 positions, and the inserts I got cannot be installed. They would need to be reworked, but even if I had lathe, these inserts are way too small for most.

Anyone ever installed the screw holder insert for a NVME drive? Is there some way I can obtain the proper ones, or I would be better off by hacking something together?

real_aurgathor usually you just press out the insert and move it to the position you need it in.

No, but stuff around $17 is an automatic "NO".
The only things I likely need if I decide to hack it is:

a small bolt with a nut,
some washers, one or two preferably plastic
one drop of thread locker,
I just need to locate/buy all that's needed, which might take a while.

The insert is way too big to go into any of the proper holes.

Looks to me the diameter of the "neck" (2nd pics) would be the correct diameter to fit into the hole.

it doesn’t look like you removed the insert in the 2280 hole so you could move it to the hole you wanted.

On the boards with NVME drive positions I’ve installed, that’s how it worked.
