I can totally understand your usual mega positivity being lacking given how crappy things are right now.
So I just found this bit of info on the Varsho injury:
“It’s kind of in his quad, down into his knee,” John Schneider said. “He told me right before the game that it was bothering him a bit. We just wanted to be extra careful. He got checked out. No MRI or anything, just day to day, so that’s a good thing. We’ll see how he is tomorrow.”
If you had wanted to be extra careful, and you should have been given how many injuries you already have, why not bench him? Sure, you need the bats in there, but if you knew there was a risk, why take it?
