PROTIP - But foods without nutritional labels such as fruits and vegetables; avoid buying things with labels and if you have to read the labels before you purchase including ingredients, nutritional and origin.
I think this new change is stupid, I do. The information posted on a nutritional label is limited and offers an incomplete picture on the product, and one has to read the ingredients to better understand what the label really means. How long till they post a picture of a guy/gal connected to a life support machine post heart surgery on a bag of chips to remind people that chips are a high fat, high sodium food with little food value? What would they put on a bag of prunes, should Taco Bell use the same imagery on their products (even though the latter have little nutritional value at all)? Will hot peppers come with a cardiac black box warning citing the risks of a heart attack?
IMHO they should be going after plastics and microplastics; buy anything lately? most packaging is some sort of plastic, little of it is recycled, and the long term effects are untested and unknown though we have learned enough to logically assume there is danger with increasing amounts of evidence tricking in they are going to be worse than a little butter on toast.
