Sure if you say so…but that does not apply to American dollars which are indicated by use of USD. Dollars are indicated by the $ sign. Gas is not four-hundred sixty eight dollars and ninety cents per gallon in the US as you wrote: $468.9. The decimal point does matter and all the prices have the decimal point whether Canadian or American.
¢/litre is the Canadian way, using the Cents symbol.
