Using Gigahub USB port for portable drive

Hi all, thanks for looking.
I've a Gigahub that I just tried adding a 1TB portable drive with some, er, ISOs on it.
For the life of me, I can't get my windows pc or any other device to see that drive.
I've reviewed every conceivable setting on the modem, and the modem itself sees the drive no problem.

Am I missing something? TIA

What's it formatted in? i dont use the gigahub but i remember back in the day routers that had a drive sharing feature often did not like NTFS format, it had to be FAT32 or more recently exFAT.

Currently, the drive is NTFS.

FAT32 doesn't work.
I'm falling back to "the Gigahub is a opiece of shit, don't bother..." I think.
Looking for a different solution.
The point being, I 'm running the Gigahub and an Asus router. I want to simplify this.

dillyhammer Can you bridge it and do your Login with the Asus router? I remember being able to share drives this way when I had it.

dillyhammer I never tried since I have a proper Nas. But back when I got the gigahub Bell_Dom said that the USB was disabled for connecting HDDs, but no idea if that changed in the almost 2 years.

The Gigahub sees the drive, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bell fucked with it to prevent file sharing.
What I wanted to do was remove my router, and just use the Gigahub .
The further I go in this process the more I realize what a POS the Gigahub is.

I think I'll just give this up and stick with the router.

ElQuintron The Giga Hub does not have a bridge mode. It has PPPoE passthrough.

dillyhammer Fair enough, it wasn't my intention to send you down that road, but my first move when I had fiber with Bell before Teksavvy wast to get rid of the Gigahub, 1st with my Asus Tomato Router, and then with a pfSense box.

dillyhammer Prudent. There are aspects of the Giga Hub that are less than good. The current Giga Hub firmware is 2.13. The Giga Hub as a storage device is still disabled.
