This showed up in my inbox. Gotta get 'em started when they’re young.

The header shows it came from the address displayed in the From: field, a K-12 Adventist Church school in Chile.
Is this what they're teaching kids now?

So many things wrong with this message starting with ‘penewal’ in the subject. There are no links anywhere in the content. No ‘click here’ box. The charge is 9.99 for the $100+ software. There are 30 addresses visible in the To: field. The phone number is part of the US Health and Human Services office. Google street view shows the address is a nice looking 6 floor condo building in Tempe, AZ.

I hope the kid didn't get a passing grade.

I don't see any connection with HHS (as I said above) but let's be on the lookout for dead bears.

Actually it looks pretty good in most respects.
For example the Singapore address is the correct one for Symantec (Norton) in that city.

The phone number listed is definitely a T-Mobile cellphone in Hawaii.

The phone number may or may not still belong to a particular faculty member at the University of Hawaii, it did a few years ago anyway.

The scammers may want people to call that phone number and by social engineering obtain the credit card number ("Give me your info so I can cancel you" OR "hey do you want to sign up---give me your info").

As for spelling errors, I once read that scammers sometimes to that on purpose. It weeds out the smart people (who wouldn't fall for the scam) and ensures a higher proportion of careless or ignorant people contacting the scammers.
