just_4_fun Why is it impossible to talk to a service agent that knows what IPv6 is?
I understand the frustration but people need to remember 99.9% of these call center people have practically 0 networking knowledge beyond what's included in their script. Unfortunately makes it difficult to get the lower level people to escalate "advanced" cases like these to the proper people.
That being said, curious if this was a problem on Optimum or the user's side
vabello I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the CEO of my employer, who has Planet Networks, that they provide IPv6 out of the box.
Yep, and they CGNAT v4 but will pull you off CGNAT for free if you ask. I was told by someone on Planet that they provide a /62 for v6 which seems like an odd choice (why not a /60 or even better, a /56?) but it's better than nothing.
