Fuck FB, and doubly so for X (you know why). My FB account got hacked and they changed the email so the recovery attempts go to the new email that I of course have no access to. Facebook has an email, disabled@fb.com, that you're supposed to use to solve such problems, but it's like writing to Santa Claus. Zuckerberg also has two emails that you can write to, but they're also like writing to Santa. They have no phone support, so that was that (actually MS has apparently gone to the no phone support model as well). I haven't tried Bluesky but more power to them if they can take traffic away from X that I understand is the main motive behind the site. I'll just stay here, especially since FB was not good for much except connecting with my old friends from high school that because I'm so old was from back before the beginning of time.
BTW, have you gotten into the new Blue Room on Zulip, set up because there's no politics allowed here? You have to get an invitation to get in that you can get from DrStrange. I'm in but it's not much like the old one that was pretty much serious discussion, and seems to be overloaded with all this chit-chat about what everyone had for breakfast, etc., that doesn't really appeal to me (there is some good discussion but sorting things out takes a lot of time). Why this is I do not know.
