Dks01 There is no solution. You must enable the same SSID for the pods to work. Use a separate router and PPPoE pass through and a mesh extender.
Lots of mesh extenders don't give that option either -- I'm looking at you, D-Link.
But if you're buying a 3rd party router, you can make sure to check for that. I wouldn't suggest going the route of router + separate access points though: that can be a lot more hassle than the average home user needs. I would, however, seriously look into whether you actually need mesh extenders: get the router first & see if it works without extenders before you consider getting extenders. Higher end hardware will have a more powerful radio and better antennas, and you might find that just a router is good enough.
