My review of CallCentric rescued and updated from the old DSLR site.
February 2025
I've been using Callcentric for both my home and business for several years.
Home is about 7.90 per month (for North America Basic outbound and Personal Unlimited inbound).
For my business (with Multiple phone numbers and many built-in features) it's about 27.00 which is far less than we used to pay Verizon and also less than the cable company.
The darn thing just works, I never have to think about it.
It is very easy to set up, has good customer support, highly usable website with extensive documentation, excellent billing software, everything just fits together well.
There is a wide variety of inbound and outbound calling options (chosen individually) including both flat-rate and PAYG plans each way.
There are no extra fees other than NY sales tax for NY residents. The 911 service is included on all of the outbound calling plans except for the PAYG outbound plan.
Call Treatments including Telemarketer Block are excellent, as are the IVR, Voicemail, and TrueCNAM spam fillter.
Callcentric and their affiliated CLEC (Telengy) have complete STIR/SHAKEN Implementation as per the FCC.
SMS (texting) is also available, a welcome optional feature.
Callcentric is very SIP friendly and works well with many different types of equipment, extensive instructions are available for many ATA's, IP phones, and softphones (both desktop and mobile).
Their number porting process is very good.
The 911 service is very good (I've had to use it a few times...)
The 911 address-of-record is displayed on the CallCentric dashboard which is a very good feature.
My experience with Callcentric has been excellent and I highly recommend them.
